JSW Jaigarh Port (JSWJP), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of JSW Infrastructure, is undertaking to construct a liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal in Maharashtra, India.
The project involves the construction of an LNG terminal with a capacity of 8 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). It is planned to be implemented in two phases:
The US$261 million first phase will consist of a jetty based floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) of 4MTPA capacity.
The second phase will consist of a land-based regasification terminal with an ultimate capacity of 8.0MTPA has been planned. This terminal will be implemented after the successful completion and stabilization of the first phase.
It also includes the construction of processing units, LPG recovery facilities, storage and related infrastructure facilities, the installation of related equipment, and the laying of pipelines.
JSWJP has entered into a concession agreement with the Government of Maharashtra.
In March 2016, H-Energy Gateway Pvt Ltd (H-Energy) has entered into a Port Service Agreement and Sub-Concession Agreement with JSWJP.
On February 27, 2017, jetty construction work commenced.
On April 25, 2017, H-Energy signs FSRU agreement with ENGIE.
ITD Cementation India Ltd has been appointed as the main contractor for the project.
Construction activities are underway on the first phase and scheduled for completion in May 2018. The entire project is planned to be completed by 2020.
The project involves the construction of an LNG regasification terminal with a capacity of 8MTPA in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India.
The US$875 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of 4MTPA FSRU unit in first phase
2. Construction of processing units
3. Construction of LPG recovery facilities
4. Construction of condensate recovery facilities
