Summary Milwaukee Bucks (MB) is planning to construct a mixed-use complex in Wisconsin, the US.
The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex and will be developed in three phases.
The first phase includes the construction of a 98 residential units, a practice facility, 5,574m2 of office space, 929m2 of retail space, a 1,243-space parking structure and a plaza facing McKinley Avenue.
The second involves the demolition of the BMO Harris Bradley center and its parking structure, and the construction of a retail space, an office space, student housing units, a 300-room hotel and a new parking garage.
The third phase includes the construction of 6,503m2 of retail space, 398 residential units, 9,290m2 of office space, 1,486m2 of additional retail space, a 3,437m2 outdoor plaza and a 420-space parking structure.
MB is in talks with local and regional real estate developers interested in the project development.
On September 9, 2015, Milwaukee County signed an agreement with the MB to purchase 4ha of land of the county-controlled section of the Park East corridor.
In October 2015, the City of Milwaukee has approved transferring the former Sydney Hih property on the Park East corridor to the MB for future development of the project. The new construction on this specific property is not expected for several years.
In November 2015, the project secured conditional approval from Milwaukee City Council and awaiting design regulatory approval.
In May 2016, MB received planning approval from City’s Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee.
