Summary
The Dubai Investments Real Estate Company (DIRC), the real estate arm of Dubai Investments, is undertaking the Mirdiff Hills Development Project on a 37ha of land in Dubai, the UAE.

The project involves the construction of 362,321.85m2 mixed-use facilities. The project includes the construction of 1,054 apartments, a 116-room four-star hotel, 128 serviced apartments, a 230-bed hospital, shops, retail outlets, an 18,600m2 area office space. It will be implemented in two phases.

The project will include the construction of swimming pool, clubhouse, play school, coffee shop, access roads and parking facilities, and the installation of safety systems.

The project is spread across four clusters: Al Multaqa Avenue, Janayen Avenue, Nasayem Avenue and South Avenue.

Al Shurooq Engineering Consultants, Jonathan Dunn Architects, and A2Z Architects were appointed as architects and Al Arif Contracting Company appointed as a lead consultant for the project.

In July 2009, the project was put on hold due to the financial crisis and resumed the works in October 2014.

DIRC secured the planning approvals from Dubai Municipality.

In the third quarter of 2015, DIRC issued a tender for the construction contract and more than 15 companies have submitted the bids.

In November 2016, Engineering Contracting Company was appointed as a contractor.

In December 2016, preparation works for the first phase were completed.

On January 3, 2017, construction activities were commenced with a ceremonial groundbreaking.

In February 2018, construction activities reached 30% completion.

Construction activities are underway and scheduled to be completed by second quarter of 2019.
