Drink up: Heavier competition and rising input costs will likely dampen industry profitability
Abstract
Juice Production in the US The Juice Production industry produces a variety of blended fruit and vegetable juices to consumers in search of nutritious and delicious beverage options. Health-conscious consumers have steadily drifted away from traditional soda to the Juice Production industry’s products. Additionally, fruits and vegetables are a well-established and stable good in many households. However, an influx of new drinks, such as sports and energy drinks (also known as functional drinks), are heavily marketed to a younger demographic and are sustaining growth, creating heavy external competition for juice producers. Over the five years to 2024, the industry will continue to contend with changing consumer preferences and growing health consciousness.
This industry manufactures fruit and vegetable juices. It excludes carbonated soda producers, independent bottlers and ice makers as well as producers of functional (sports and energy) drinks, ready-to-drink tea and coffee and flavored water.
This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.
